7 Skin-Care Tips: Look Stunning in Your 50s

Posted by admin On August - 31 - 2005

Stay Beautiful in Your 50s

Life starts at 50! But at this stage, skin cells begin to flatten, and less collagen and elastic means more sag. Skin is drier, too.

Skin Care Tips

1. Lighten up. Even out skin tone and ward off the effects of menopause on your skin with regular treatments using skin-lightening products.

2. Vitamin C based skin care products are very popular means of anti aging skin care. However, these seem to oxidize very quickly (which makes them harmful for the skin). So store them properly. If the product turns Yellowish brown, it means that vitamin c has oxidized and the product is no longer suitable for use.

3. Avoid the use of strong, chemical based products on your skin. Natural skin care products are a good option. Use of organic skin care products (home made or commercial) can be a very effective anti aging skin care measure

4. Work it overnight. Night time is the best to combat wrinkles and loss of tone and moisture. Invest in a good night cream, applied after cleansing and toning, to promote regeneration.

5. Challenge yourself. Just like Madonna, always think of ways to reinvent yourself. Start from the inside and it will flow outward. It’s not too late to try a new exercise, a new spiritual path, anything that will stop you from falling into a rut.

6. Enlist the help of a natural skincare expert to examine your skin, point out trouble spots, and monitor the condition of your skin. A dermatologist can also help you understand your particular skin type, and recommend skin care products that would work best for you.

7. Many studies have been done over the years demonstrating the healing and physiological properties of bovine colostrums. Colostrums helps the immune system to function more efficiently, maintain peak performance and fight acne causing bacteria.

Colostrums supplies growth factors (hormones) as well as stimulating the endocrine system to keep producing its own supply of hormones. Research strongly indicates that the combination of growth and immune factors in colostrum works together to create a potent anti-aging effect, including tighter skin, and regrowth of cells and tissue of organs that normally decrease in size with age.

Daily supplementation on Bovine Colostrum allows the body to have improved resilience against any type of stress. Overall health and well being is accomplished when the body has all of the necessary factors it needs for defense, healing and repair.

If you have special skin issues, such as stubborn acne, rosacea, or extremely sensitive or oily skin, the best thing to do is to seek out the advice of a professional dermatologist.

Taking care of your skin will reduce the aging effect; keep it healthier as well as more resistant to injury and infections. Remember, a face that has a lived in look is much more attractive than a Botox face and character is much more beauty.

Note: None of the information in this article is scientifically based, but it does work, based on the personal experiences of myself and many others.

Meditation: Why Meditation And How Does It Help

Posted by admin On August - 31 - 2005

The stressful lives we lead today take their toll on our health. Mental stress and physical fatigue drain us of our positive energy leaving us depleted physically, mentally and emotionally. Considered to be part of alternative medicine, meditation is fast gaining popularity amongst conventional medical practitioners as well. Patients are increasingly being advised to meditate for sometime in the day, which is believed to have a positive effect along with the allopathic medicines prescribed for a number of medical conditions.

What is meditation?

Meditation is a technique that helps us focus and calms the mind resulting in relaxed and restful state of physical and mental being. Meditation is generally focused on one constant thing, usually your breath. Meditation is an effective tool to gain mind control, self-awareness and understanding that eventually lead to inner calm and peacefulness. For people practice meditation, it can lead to profound experiences of self-realization and transcendental awareness and knowledge. A proven alternative therapy, meditation is a known stress reliever.

Meditation is beneficial not only psychologically but is known to have positive effects on various health conditions ranging from blood pressure, insomnia to even depression. There are different techniques of meditation that people follow today. These are a product of diverse cultures and peoples around the world. The power of meditation has been harnessed to alleviate pain, suffering and promote healing for centuries in different cultures and religions, in some or the other form.

Types of meditation

There are various types of meditation that originate from various parts of the world. Prayer is possibly the most common one, the others are Transcendental Meditation, mindfulness meditation, Zen meditation, Buddhist Meditation and Taoist Meditation.

The body under meditation

Scientific experimentation and research has found out how the human body reacts under profound meditation. It has been found that the meditation process counteracted the effects of the sympathetic nervous system – the one that wants to fight or flee. Whereas the sympathetic system dilates the pupils and gets the heart rate, respiration and blood pressure up, the parasympathetic system, activated when we meditate, does just the opposite.

Muscle tension decreases, blood pressure drops, and for some extraordinary practitioners, even temperature and basal metabolism rates drop during a prolonged meditation. Oxygen needs of the body are reduced when you are in a highly relaxed state, and brain waves change from the busy beta waves to the blissful alpha waves.

Meditation Techniques

There are two major approaches to meditation, which are Concentrative Meditation and Mindfulness Meditation. These can be explained as follows -

1. Concentrative Meditation

The approach to still the mind is to focus the attention on the breath, image or sound (mantra). This gives way to greater awareness and clarity. In its most basic form concentrative meditation requires you to sit quietly and focus your attention on your breath. Practitioners of yoga and meditation believe that there is a direct correlation between one’s state of mind and one’s breath. For e.g. when a person is anxious, frightened, agitated or distracted, the breath will tend to be shallow, rapid and irregular. On the other hand, when the mind is calm, focused and composed, the breath tends to be slow, deep and regular.

2. Mindfulness Meditation

In this type of meditation, the mind is aware of all that is happening around you. You just observe the sounds, feelings, sensations, images, thoughts, smells etc without getting involved in them or thing about them. The person is just like a spectator who is witnessing everything but one who does not react or get involved with thoughts, memories, feelings, worries or images. This helps to gain a more calm, clear and non-reactive state of mind.

Is He Colorblind? Or Is the Game Starting

Posted by admin On August - 31 - 2005

He thinks you’re gorgeous, and he loves your nail polish. If he says your red polish looks great, and you’ve just spent an hour applying peach polish, it’s not that he wants to get back to the game. It could be that he’s not able to distinguish between the two.

Not all colorblindness is serious. There are shades of gray, so to speak. I know a man who’s just fine with traffic lights, but can’t see light pink. He sees light pink as white – but he can see bubblegum pink, which has more blue in it. Another man I know can’t distinguish between blue and green. And when we get into the teals, seafoams, cornflower blues, and aquas, there is no hope for intelligent conversation.

Men are more prone to colorblindness than women. Approximately one in 10 to 12 men has some degree of visual color distortion. (One in about 200 women has this problem.) Scientists say it’s mainly genetically acquired, but sometimes can be the result of injury, illness, or even age. Very rarely – almost never, in fact – will he see the world with a complete absence of color.

The most common visual deficiencies are the most subtle. Yes, it’s similar to a Mars and Venus thing. While women will see a huge difference in lipstick between classic red and fire engine red, a man with mild colorblindness may be totally miffed at her inability to decide which to wear that night.

What is colorblindness?

So that the ladies can better understand their men, here’s how most colorblindness works: We see colors through certain nerve endings in our eyes called cones. (The other major kind of nerve ending in eyes are rods. Rods detect light and dark.)

Cones are the ultimate red, green, and blue detectors. By mixing these 3 colors, the cones can send images to your brain of any color in the world. But if one or more of these cones’ pigment sensitivity is off, the person will experience color misperceptions.

All You Need is Patience

Ladies, have patience with your men. It might not have anything to do with their disinterest in your new eye shadow shade, or your switch from brown hair to mahogany. He simply may not be able to see it!

Are there cures for colorblindness? Not at the moment. For now, if you suspect your man has some sort of color distortion, let him seek medical help first, to make sure it’s not serious.

The only real cure is to just call a girlfriend if you’re at the shoe store, and can’t decide between the rosy pink and the beigy-gold apricot.

Guaranteed Cure For Depression and Neurosis

Posted by admin On August - 31 - 2005

Until today, many people are still suffering from diseases for which the cure has already been discovered but not yet learned by everyone. This is the case of people who suffer from depression and neurosis.

The solution for their problems has already been discovered a long time ago by the famed psychologist and psychiatrist Carl Jung, but his work has not been properly evaluated. When I continued his research in the unknown region of the human psychic sphere, I could see its content and simplify Jung’s method of deciphering dreams, which I proved in my scientific book as the only method which is the absolutely correct one.

Through dream interpretation, everyone can be surely cured: neurotic individuals who have only begun to have problems due to the invasion of the wild conscience into their human conscience and depressed individuals who are only starting to feel depressed because they have not developed all their psychological functions. Even if their depression is provoked by tragic events or irrecoverable losses, they can surely find support and therapy through dream interpretation.

Everything depends mainly on the patients’ attitude. If they follow the guidance they receive in their dreams to a tee, their psychotherapy is guaranteed. This is a statement that any psychiatrist or psychologist would be very afraid to make, but I can assure you that anyone who suffers only from neurosis or depression can be surely cured through dream analysis if they respect the guidance they receive and change their behaviour accordingly because I have seen the content of the unknown region of our psychic sphere and, therefore, I know the exact danger in any psychotherapy, what can be possibly achieved, what can be surely achieved and what one shall not even try to achieve because it is really impossible.

Impossibilities are encountered only in cases where we notice that the patient’s human conscience was completely destroyed by the wild side of their conscience. Even when it does happen, some patients can possibly recover their human conscience partially or even completely if they accept the indispensable suffering necessary. These are the psychotic and the schizophrenic patients. Hysterical patients can also be cured through dream interpretation albeit not as easily as neurotics and depressed individuals, but their cure can also be guaranteed if they follow the instructions they receive.

Psychotic and schizophrenic patients could be better helped and almost completely cured without the difficulty that we usually find when treating these cases. However, they do not cooperate with their doctor and are so aggressive that the psychotherapist has to be extremely patient with them and also wait for a really long time until he observes some progress in their behavior. Other factors like their environment and the people who take care of them can also have a decisive rule in their recuperation since their behavior varies according to the treatment they receive. If they are over-protected by their relatives or if their evolution is blocked and their disease is overcome with medicine, which doesn’t help them react positively but only subdues their reactions to a non-violent level, they have no chance to fight against the domination of their wild side.

However, even though the recuperation of these patients is a very sad attempt, the recuperation of depressed and neurotic patients is not only possible but also quite easy if compared with the difficulties we find in the psychotherapy of psychotic and schizophrenic patients by using the same method.

The guarantee I give is based on the recuperation of many people with very serious depression and neuroses that also affected their body and caused somatic diseases. Of course, I emphasize on the necessity of the patient’s cooperation.

If the patient does not take notes of his or her dreams and doesn’t follow the guidance received, nothing can be done. If, however, he or she pays attention to the guidance and follows it with seriousness, there is no doubt that the patient will solve all his problems in a period of time that varies from 8-12 months, depending only on the patient’s attitude in the case of depressed individuals and also on the percentage of the destruction of the human conscience, in case of neurotics.

During my studies, I came across Carl Jung’s method of deciphering dreams, which helped me and urged me to continue his research into the unknown regions of our psychical sphere. I set my poetry aside and began to compile my findings. I sought to prove that Jung had discovered the proper method of interpretation of dreams. This exercise actually taught me many things, and I continued to pursue Jung’s research into the analysis of dreams. Learn more at booksirecommend.com booksirecommend.com

Light Therapy as a Treatment for SAD

Posted by admin On August - 30 - 2005

The use of light therapy as a treatment for SAD syndrome, properly named seasonable affective disorder, is well known to, and generally recommended by, the medical profession. Millions of poor souls are affected by seasonal affective disorder and while most of us look forward to Christmas all they experience is depression and a craving for starchy and sugary foods.

Sufferers become lethargic, feel tired even after sleep, and can suffer physical pain in the joints and abdomen. They can feel despair, guilt with nothing to be guilty about, and severe anxiety. Frustration and irritability for no apparent reason are also common. To some it is mild and to others it can be very severe to the point of suicide. It is not, therefore, a condition to be ignored and light therapy definitely helps in most cases.

OK, perhaps they do enjoy Christmas with their families, but the depression is not helped by the weight that they can put on through the excess of sugars and starches that they consume through no fault of their own. Not for them New Year resolutions to keep off the sugars and starches. The credit card bills at the end of January do not help either.

So how can light therapy help SAD disease, as people call it, though it is actually a syndrome and not a disease? It can’t be ‘caught’ or passed from one person to another and it occurs in varying degrees. It is sometimes referred to as SAD disorder and Winter Blues, but what you call it is irrelevant. Professional psychologists agree on the use of light therapy as a treatment for SAD, and lamps are available that provide the full effect of natural sunlight.

It is very important to understand that this is a very real condition, with potentially very serious consequences if not treated properly. Many sufferers feel isolated due to them feeling not fully understood by most people. It is not something they can just ‘snap out of’ or be resolved by them ‘pulling themselves together’. It must be recognized by sufferers and their families that light treatment as a therapy for SAD can help their symptoms and, in the most severe cases, save lives. Not only life itself, by the treatment of potential suicides, but also the quality of life of the millions of less serious cases.

Some sufferers are lucky enough to work in an environment where their exposure to sunlight can be maximized, but others do not. Office workers with desks beside a window can adjust their seating as to achieve this, but those working in windowless environment, which is the case in most manufacturing units, are unable to. Many with the potential to suffer from this disorder escape it through an outdoor life, or holding a job that involves predominantly outdoor work, such as the armed forces and construction industries.

With fewer daylight hours in winter, it is theoretically possible for an individual to have weeks with very little exposure to natural sunlight. Perhaps this is a slight exaggeration, but not everybody works only five day weeks. SAD is not a condition considered by employers in their provision of facilities for the disabled, probably because it is either not though of as a disabling condition, or because of the general ignorance about it.

Melatonin is a hormone found in all humans, and is produced in higher levels by the body in the absence of sunlight. Melatonin is known to have something to do with the sleep-wake regulation, and people tend to get sleepier with higher levels of melatonin. It makes sense, since it is produced at sundown, and its production declines with dawn. So melatonin production may have a lot to do with SAD disease. It is as uncertain as is the knowledge of the effect of melatonin in the body, but it is under investigation. Do not, therefore, as some suggest, use melatonin as a treatment for seasonal affective disorder, since it may in fact aggravate it.

Far better, as the medical profession agree, is to use light therapy. Light therapy as a treatment for SAD is the simplest available, and is also portable. Light therapy can be used at home and in the workplace. It is just a shame for the sufferers that it has not been given the publicity and the research that it should, due it being a seasonal disorder.

Mike Zimmerman and his staff are experts on the use of light therapy to relieve the symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder. Get more information on SAD lights and white noise at soundmachinesdirect.com soundmachinesdirect.com where the theory behind them is explained in more detail.

6 Things to Ask Your Oklahoma City Lasik Eye Surgeon

Posted by admin On August - 30 - 2005

Choosing an Oklahoma City lasik eye surgeon is one of the most important decision you will ever make. In Oklahoma City, there are a number of doctors who specialize in refractive laser eye surgery, and choosing a surgeon can be a tough decision. If you’re going to trust your sight to a surgeon, you want to feel confident that they’re well-trained and qualified to perform the procedure. Here are the six questions you absolutely must ask an Oklahoma City lasik eye surgeon before you commit to eye surgery:

1. Are you Board Certified? The answer must be yes, and then you should ask for details. There are different types of certification that ophthalmologists can acquire. The American Board of Ophthalmology certifies doctors, but doesn’t offer a specific certification for laser refractive surgery. Your Oklahoma City eye surgeon may be ABO certified without having actual Lasik or PRK certification. The American Board of Eye Surgeons offers peer-approved certification on specific laser procedures, and this is the best certification for an eye doctor to have. There is also a certification offered by the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance, who evaluate patient satisfaction and evaluate surgeons based on patient outcome.

2. How long have you been performing laser vision correction surgery? There’s no right or wrong answer to this one. But you should look for a surgeon who has several years of experience – make sure, though, if the surgeon has been doing corrective eye surgery for 10 years or more that he’s up to date on all the latest procedures.

3. How many procedures have you performed on people with my particular problem? Again, there’s no one answer, but you want to know that you’re not the first patient in Oklahoma City who’s received this particular surgery form this eye doctor.

4. Who will be handling my pre-surgery examinations and after care? You want to know that your doctor will be personally handling every aspect of your case from start to finish. If there’s a problem after the surgery, you shouldn’t be sent to some other doctor on the other side of Oklahoma City, or only receive follow-up care from a nurse or assistant.

5. Do you have all of the equipment here in the clinic? It’s good to know where your surgery will take place. It might be on-site, in the doctor’s clinic, or he may be affiliated with a nearby hospital or medical center.

6. May I have references? A good doctor will have no problem with providing you with the names of local Oklahoma City patients who have had Lasik surgery. Ask for five references, and call them to find out how satisfied they are with the doctor’s work.

Gaining Weight With Celiac Disease

Posted by admin On August - 30 - 2005

HOW TO GAIN WEIGHT WITH CELIAC DISEASE

For most celiacs one they are on a totally gluten free diet they will naturally regain their normal weight.

Weight is part of a simple equation. The model I share in “Eat Well – Live Well with celiac disease describes it as a see saw in the park.
If you eat calories which balance out your physical activity your weight will remain the same.

Consume more calories than you burn up in daily activity including exercise and you will gain weight.

Consume fewer calories than you burn up in activity and you will loose weight.

If you are trying to gain weight you need to think carefully about what you eat and what you do. It is still important to take healthy exercise to ensure you do not develop other problems.

Even when trying to gain weight it is important to eat healthily and stick rigidly to a gluten free diet. Although fats and oils contain the most calories ounce for ounce make sure you eat a sensible amount of fat and as far as possible eat fats found in oily fish, vegetables and nuts. You will need to be consistent and look for results over time rather than quick gain, which is lost as soon as you stop the eating regime.

Some healthy ideas for putting on weight:

Eat regularly throughout the day making sure you have a good breakfast.

Enrich the milk you use with a spoon of extra dried skimmed milk, use full fat milk and add 2-4 tablespoons of dried milk powder to a pint of milk.

Eat a snack of dried fruit and nuts or full fat yoghurt or fromage frais between meals.

Use build up meal replacement milkshakes and drinks to supplement your diet.

Avocados are rich in nutrients and calories – they taste good too.

Eat complex carbohydrates rather than lots of sugar but eat them regularly.

Eat lots of fruit and vegetables but you can enjoy them with butter, grated cheese a dressing or sauce.

Eat protein with each meal – fish, meat, eggs, cheese, pulses etc.

Add ice cream, cream or evaporated milk to all cold puddings and add fortified milk to hot puds.

Add a beaten egg and or grated cheese to mashed potatoes.

Make a smoothie using fortified milk, a banana, strawberries or any other fruit you have available, add a yoghurt or a scoop of ice cream for extra calories. Ring the changes with the fruits or add some chocolate for a change.

When making up packet soups or sauces use fortified milk rather than water.

Use a gluten free protein powder to sprinkle into sauces, shakes, and sauces.

How Can I Lose 10 Pounds?

Posted by admin On August - 30 - 2005

“How fast can I lose 10lbs if I burn off 500 calories by running 4-5 miles a day, and eating 1200 calories?”

I get questions like this a lot via my fitness business.

I’ll give you a rough guideline but I can’t answer this question
with 100% accuracy because I don’t know your metabolic rate (how
many calories you burn during a normal day), the type of food you
eat, how often you eat, how much sleep you get, etc.)

So let’s look at some examples. If 1,700 calories a day keeps
your weight the same and you reduce your caloric intake, you’ll
lose roughly 1 pound per week.

There are 3,500 calories in a pound of fat. 7 days per week x
500 calories per day equals 3,500 calories per week. So, if you
added the running that burned 500 calories per day, this would be
another pound lost per week.

Now, keep a couple of things in mind. 1,200 calories per day may
be too low, which will cause your metabolism to slow down. This
is how people who go on a diet end up gaining all the weight back.

In addition, if you are not doing any weight training, about half
of that weight lost will be muscle, which will also slow down your
metabolism, again causing weight rebound and putting you in a worse
situation than before you lost the weight.

This is why I said roughly one pound per week up above. A pound of
muscle is only 600 calories and since you’ll be losing muscle and
fat, you may lose more than a pound by burning 3,500 calories in a
week.

In addition, your body shape won’t change. You’ll just be a smaller
version of you, or what I call skinny fat.

You should add some weight training to your running plan, 2 to 3
times per week.

I would also reduce the amount of running you are doing, both in
number of days you run, and how far you run each day. Consider only
running that distance 2 or 3 days per week.

Consider performing high intensity interval training instead of the
running on 2 other days per week.

In addition, keep track of your calories. You only want to lose 1 – 2
pounds per week (you may lose more in the beginning. And keep in mind
that how you look is more important than the scale. If you lose 10
pounds of fat and add 10 pounds of muscle, you’ll way the same as you
do now but you’ll look a thousand times better.

You’ll also be smaller as a pound of muscle does not take up as much
space as a pound of fat.

I hope this helps.

Good luck! I’d love to hear your results and questions (see below).

High Blood Pressure – Anti-Caffeine Beverages

Posted by admin On August - 29 - 2005

It is probably OK for people with high blood pressure to drink less than moderate amounts of coffee as long as it is the decaffeinated type.

I say “probably OK”, because coffee labelled “decaffeinated” does not necessarily mean all caffeine is removed, it only means it contains much less than regular coffee; but the remaining amount may still be enough to elevate blood pressure. This factor is important because it is well known that regular intakes of caffeine, whether it be in coffee, tea, or fizzy drinks, does tend to contribute towards high blood pressure.

Regular coffee is particularly high in potassium and extremely low in sodium, so from the mineral perspective, in theory it has a tendency to reduce blood pressure; but whether this is enough to overcome the blood pressure elevation effect of the caffeine is open to debate.
For someone suffering with hypertension it would be advised to leave coffee off the menu or drink it seldom if you are sure it is truly decaffeinated. This may not be such a big forfeit as there are many alternatives to drinking caffeine-containing beverages that without a shadow of a doubt are conducive to lowering blood pressure.

For example coffee and tea drinking habits could be replaced by mixing a little honey, the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon and warm water instead; or for cold drinks one could also return to nature, and resort to freshly made fruit juices that can be flavoured to taste.

It is perhaps prudent for sufferers of high blood pressure to invest in a juicing machine and try to develop a habit of juicing enough fruit and vegetables to make drinks that not only taste good but also leaves one confident of their nutritional content and the blood pressure lowering tendency.
Juices made fresh each morning is far better than those purchased from the supermarket shelves in cartons labled “Fresh Juice”; for one the pre-packed counterparts are not really fresh and secondly their active mineral and enzyme contents are very much not diminished making them less effective in the fight agains hypertension.

One can juice apples, cantaloupes, melons, pineapples, grapes, oranges, ginger, carrots etc. and mix them in any combination and proportions in order to arrive at personal favourites.
I personally juice large amounts of carrots to make carrot juice (about 5lb of carrots will make 50 fl oz. of juice) and flavour it using relatively small amounts of sweetened condensed milk, a sprinkling of ground nutmeg and fresh ginger juice to my taste.
Another favourite of mine is juicing fresh crisp apples, with a few sour cooking apples and then flavouring the whole lot with ginger juice to taste.
Beverages made this way are best kept chilled and consumed the same day as there are no preservatives in them.

You could do similar to your taste.

Taking this theme another stage you could use a food blender to liquidise soft fruits like apricots, strawberries, ripe plums, ripe bananas etc. and use them as the basis for making sorbets or low fat yougurt / milk shakes, or nutritious homemade ice cream.

The possibilities are endless.

Adult Acne: Simple Steps for Treatment

Posted by admin On August - 29 - 2005

Just because you never experienced acne during your youth, doesn’t mean you won’t have to face it as an adult. Research shows one out of four adult men and one out of two adult women will experience some type of acne in their adult life.

No one seems to agree on what causes acne in adults, but one thing is clear. Acne is always associated with hormones. These hormones are essential to the development of the oil glands of your skin. Children don’t experience acne, because their hormones aren’t mature.

Any time your hormones become unbalanced, you run the risk of an acne breakout. Researchers agree that acne is caused by androgens. These are male hormones found in both men and women. These hormones create excess oil. In turn, this excess oil can clog the hair follicles and allow bacteria to grow. When this occurs, acne pimples and blemishes appear.

Women generally experience hormonal acne because of the normal female cycles like menstruation, pregnancy and menopause. This is why some types of birth control pills help control acne by keeping the androgens balanced. However, consult your doctor before considering this treatment. Every one is different. All treatments do not produce the same results for different people.

Many adults have experienced success in clearing their acne by using a simple three-step regimen.

Benzoyl Peroxide Kills Acne Bacteria
First, get a 2.5% solution of benzoyl peroxide. Apply this to a small part on your skin to test your skin’s reaction. Although most people have no problems with benzoyl peroxide, some do. Once you know it’s ok, gently apply this to your affected skin.

Avoid Irritating Your Skin
Always be gentle when working with your skin. Irritation only increases your acne problems. Avoid harsh scrubbing, picking or pinching your pimples, etc. If you skin is already irritated, take a few days and let it settle down.

Use a Gentle Skin Cleanser
Wash your face and acne affected skin with a gentle cleanser. Avoid using regular bath soap or cleansers that overly dry your skin.

Finally, use a gentle moisturizer to keep your skin from drying out and to minimize irritation. With a little consistency and time, many adults can clear their adult acne following this simple treatment.
